Sheena AI: what it's for and what it is NOT for
If you arrived here searching for "Sheena" by name, or from an article where we mentioned her in passing, this is the page that explains what she is without a landing page's filter. The most useful question you can ask about any AI tool is not what it does but what it refuses to do. With Sheena, that is exactly what defines her.
So this article gives as much space to what she is NOT for as to what she is for. It is not false modesty or a marketing pirouette: what Sheena refuses to do is precisely what separates her from ChatGPT and from the post generators promising to fill your calendar in one click.
If by the end you decide she is not for you, we will have done our job just as well. We would rather you knew now than subscribed expecting a robot to publish for you and ended up disappointed.

What Sheena is, in one sentence
Sheena is the intelligence living inside PunkVoice that works on your draft so you publish on LinkedIn in your voice rather than a model's: she spots clichés, challenges your weak ideas and watches that you do not contradict what you argued yesterday.
The key phrase there is "on your draft". Sheena does not start from a blank prompt to hand you back a finished text. She starts from something you have already written or thought, and sharpens it. It is the difference between a ghostwriter writing in your name and an editor handing the text back covered in questions in the margin. Sheena is the second.
That is why inside the product she works as a thinking companion: you bring her a half baked idea, a post that does not quite sound like you or a doubt about your strategy, and she answers by challenging you rather than doing the job for you. The voice is not delegated, and neither is the judgement.
The problem she attacks: the tide of identical content
To understand why Sheena is built around these refusals, you have to look at the state of LinkedIn. The barrier to producing content has collapsed: anyone can ask a generalist AI for "a post about leadership" and publish the result in thirty seconds. The aggregate effect is a tide of posts resembling each other to the point of tracing paper.
The same openings ("Something happened yesterday that made me think..."), the same lists of five points, the same textbook closing question. The average LinkedIn reader has already developed a detector: they smell AI text and, the moment they detect it, discount what they are reading. And with it, they discount whoever published it.
That is the damage almost nobody calculates: outsourcing your voice to a generator does not save you work, it costs you trust. Every generic post going out with your name teaches your audience they can ignore you. The problem Sheena attacks is not that you lack content, it is that easy content dilutes you.
Why a ChatGPT post gets spotted (and how not to fall into it)
What she is NOT for (this is the important part)
If you came looking for any of these things, Sheena is going to disappoint you, and we would rather tell you on the third screen than after you pay:
- She does not write your posts for you. There is no "generate my post" button handing you back a text ready to copy and paste without thinking. If you want that, ChatGPT does it faster and free.
- She does not generate content at scale. You will not get thirty scheduled posts in one go to "maintain a presence". Sheena works piece by piece, because a personal brand is not built on volume.
- She does not imitate other people's voices. You cannot ask her to "write like this Top Voice who blew up last week". Her job is helping you sound like you, not tracing somebody else. The opposite would manufacture exactly the homogeneity we are fighting.
- She does not give you vanity metrics or promises of virality. There is no "make me viral" feature. She works on the quality of what you say, not on tricks for inflating reach.
- She does not publish for you or manage your account automatically. The decision about what goes out with your name, and when, remains yours. Deliberately.
How she works on your draft
With what she does not do out of the way, here is what she does. You bring her a draft, an idea or a post you already published and want to improve, and Sheena acts on that specific material in three ways.
She spots clichés and filler sentences
She flags the verbal tics that slipped in without your noticing: the "it is not about X, but about Y", the list padded out to look complete, the motivational close that says nothing. She does not delete them for you, she marks them so you decide whether you stand behind that sentence or swap it for something of yours.
She challenges you when the idea is weak
If your argument rests on a generality, Sheena argues with it instead of applauding. "Would anyone in your industry sign this?", "Do you have a concrete example or is this a hunch?". It is deliberately uncomfortable: the goal is that you publish claims you can stand behind, not the ones that sound good and get forgotten.
She watches for consistency with your voice
As she gets to know you, Sheena notices when a text drifts from what you have been arguing or sounds borrowed compared with how you write. She warns you about the inconsistency before you publish it, which is exactly when you can still fix it.
The underlying idea: using AI for LinkedIn without losing your voice
Who she is for and who she is not for
Sheena is not for everybody, and forcing the fit does nobody any favours. The line is fairly clear.
She is for you if...
- You already have things to say about your work and what holds you back is publishing them with judgement, not a lack of ideas.
- Sounding like you matters to you and the idea of your profile being indistinguishable from a thousand others makes you uncomfortable.
- You are willing to put thought in: you want a tool that makes you better, not one that works in your place.
- You are building for the medium term. You are after sustained authority, not a spike of reach this Tuesday.
She is not for you if...
- What you want is outsourcing the writing entirely and receiving finished posts you never touch.
- You are after volume above everything: publishing a lot, fast and cheap, whatever it says.
- You are not interested in developing judgement of your own and would rather an AI decided for you.
- You want to replicate the style of somebody else who is doing well. Sheena does not do that, and deliberately so.
Sheena against using generative AI raw
The most honest comparison is not against another personal branding tool but against what almost everybody already does for free: opening ChatGPT and asking for the post. It is worth seeing it straight, including where the generator wins.
| Generative AI raw | Sheena in PunkVoice | |
|---|---|---|
| What you get | A finished text to copy and paste | Questions and warnings about your own draft |
| Who supplies the ideas | The model, from a prompt | You, and she questions and sharpens them |
| How the result sounds | Recognisably like AI, the same as thousands | Like you, because the final words are yours |
| Speed | Immediate | Slower: it forces you to think |
| Reputational risk | High: it gets detected and costs trust | Low: you keep the authorship |
| What using it trains | Nothing, you become dependent | Your judgement: you need less help over time |
Speed is not free
Sheena being slower is not a flaw we are papering over: it is the consequence of not doing the work for you. The generator saves you the twenty minutes of thinking and sends you the bill later, in the form of a profile that convinces nobody. Sheena charges you those twenty minutes up front and leaves you with something that carries weight. Which of the two is expensive depends on whether you are playing short or long.
What to actually expect
Be realistic about what changes. Sheena will not turn you into a reference in your industry in two weeks, and no tool will. You build that by publishing thoughtfully for months. What she does is take away the blank page, spare you the clichés you could not see and warn you when you are betraying your own voice.
And there is an unusual goal for an AI tool: that you need her less and less. If in a few months you spot your own clichés before she flags them, Sheena will have done her job even though it means you open her less often. We are not after your dependency, we are after your judgement.
